Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Julie Bishop, has announced that a Coalition Government will provide $300,000 in funding for CCTV cameras to be installed in High Street City Centre and on the north side of the Penrith Commuter Carpark.
The cameras will be installed in an effort to reduce crime in the local area and to assist businesses subject to vandalism a chance to identify perpetrators.
The CCTV camera funding comes as part of the Coalition’s $50 million dollar National Community Crime Prevention Program.
