SALES EXECUTIVE

 

Salary range: $40,000 - $47,000 + Commission + Super
 

The Western Weekender, Penrith’s most circulated newspaper, has an opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our passionate and professional team.
 

Working from our Penrith office, you would be responsible for building a client database as well as managing a number of established accounts.
 

You would be working with businesses across the Penrith region and beyond, helping them advertise their products and services as well as build their brand and develop a trust in newspaper advertising.
 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, willing to learn and adapt to new challenges and have strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
 

Experience in media sales is desirable, but all candidates with sales experience will be considered.
 

The successful candidate will have a driver’s licence and their own car.

JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP

 

The Western Weekender currently has a 12 week unpaid internship available to a student studying journalism or communications.

 

During the 12 weeks, the successful applicant will learn about the local media, write stories about local issues and events and assist our team of journalists to get the paper out each and every week.

 

The internship is one day per week, either Friday or Monday.
